This game was developed for a University project, specifically for our Game Prototyping subject. It's our first-ever game in Unity, every asset was downloaded either from the Unity Asset Store or from Itch.io, all the credit goes to the respective artists of the sprites and tilemaps. The cliche behind this game was "the stories our parents told us about their everyday journey to school" which are usually exaggerated to a comical amount. The control scheme for the game is the classic

[A] - left
[D] - right
[Spacebar] - jump

This is everything you need to start playing. Some obstacles that you will encounter throughout the levels may seem difficult and this is by design (but trust us, all of them are doable, you just need to find the right approach).

We are awaiting any feedback, positive or negative, since this is the first project we will be more than happy to hear you out so that we can improve upon future projects!

I liked the game :) However you can stick to the right wall (only the right) and abuse that heh. Also in the very beginning you can run straight left and fall off the edge. Besides that chainsaw hitboxes seems too unfair IMHO Besides all that great job!

Hi! Thanks for the review! Oh wow, totally overlooked that, I'll also check the hotboxes, make them a bit smaller

I'm a college student too, man. And i think this is good project so far. But in my opinion, move the camera "instantly" along with the character is not good idea. I just want character can move in "red" area like this:

Thanks! Makes a lot of sense, I agree with you, will think of how to implement it.

Nice challenging platformer! I had some problems with collisions sometimes but otherwise the movement was very smooth!

Thanks for the feedback, collisions were a pain in the butt to set up so I totally get it, specifically level 4 tends to have issues, I'll be checking it out a bit later, tends to happen due to wrong tilemap collisions as far as I understood it.

Amazing game! The movements are very smooth and pleasant. I look forward to your future games.

Thanks! C:
